London Olympics 2012 athletes in a social networking site Facebook will be allowed to use but can be expelled if they break rules.

The International Olympic Committee IOC said the Olympic Charter, all social media activities, which bans political demonstrations must be respected.

The x-rated comments will be severly dealt with and are being considered for commercial purposes, either will not allow posting.

The IOC said it “actively encourages and supports athletes...to take part in ‘social media’ and to post, blog and tweet their experiences”.

But they must be restricted to “first-person, diary-type formats” and must ensure their posts do not contain “vulgar or obscene words or images”.

Taken inside Olympic venues video and audio broadcasts is banned, but players can post videos taken out of the stadium.

IOC television and online media to generate revenue from the sale of rights and their protection of intellectual property are critical.

A person is considered to have violated their Olympic accreditation guidelines effectively removed from the game can ban them.
